In case an incident occurs at Iranian ports, which is likely to give rise to a claim against the owners/charterers/P&I clubs, our assistance is usually sought by the Masters in the first instance and our local representatives attend on board within a very short period of time to assist the Master in whatever direction necessary by giving necessary advices. However, as the majority of the claims is related to the cargo, the P&I Clubs are in most cases required by the claimants to provide a security on behalf of the shipowner/charterer members in form of a Letter of Undertaking or a Bank Guarantee for release of the vessels. As it may take a considerable time for a Club LOU or B/G to be put up to the claimant concerned, Sea Pars Shipping Services arranges for release of the vessels by putting up its own provisional undertaking at the requested amount. This provisional undertaking is highly accepted by the Iranian claimants (including receivers/cargo underwriters and PSO) as Sea Pars has been enjoying a high credit with the Iranian State and private companies during the past 20 years.

Our P&I Dept is also involved in the following activities:
Preliminary advice to the owners/P&I Clubs on various issues Constant reporting on the development of the cases to the P&I Club concerned Zranging all types of survey Handling FD&D cases on behalf of the Defence Clubs (including charter party disputes with Iranian charterers
